How to Get There
There are 2 ways which can be passed by from Yogyakarta. The first one is the north line that is passing by Wates Street just straight to the west then turn left when you find a long street heading to Glagah Beach. There is no time to be worried because along the street there are some signs which lead you to Glagah Beach. The second way is the south way, you may pass Bantul Street and when you have reached Palbapang junction, you turn right. Go down to the street and you will cross Progo Bridge, then when you find a fork turn left and just go down to the street along the Daendels Street. From this point, you can turn left and directly headed to the gate of the beach.
Passing the north way or Wates Street means passing the main way which connecting Purworejo-Yogyakarta. This way is wide enough compared to the south way. Besides, Wates Street is smoother than the south way. However, the traffic is busier moreover in Wates and sometimes the traffic jam awaits you.
If you pass this way, you should be more patient with other drivers when there are some trucks which are loaded by a large amount of sand passing this way. And the alternative way is the south way since it provides you such a serene and smooth street with such a gorgeous view and rice field along the street, moreover it is less polluted.
