Profile

Glagah beach is a tourist spot which has some distinctiveness compared to some other beaches in Yogyakarta even in Indonesia. A large amount of sand and wave breaker gives a sort of beautiful panorama for the tourist. Another distinction which is provided is the lagoon which is stretched between the grassland area and the sandy area which is directly connected to beach. Tourists are able to go around the lagoon by some boats which are provided in the bank of the lagoon. Besides, around Glagah Beach area, there is also dragon fruits agro-tourism, therefore; visitors are able to see directly the cultivation and the process of picking those dragon fruits.
Glagah Beach provides some tourist attractions as annually as well as temporarily, such as kites festival, motor cross, traditional ceremony, and traditional performances.
In order to enter Glagah Beach, visitors need to pay retribution IDR 3,000 per person. Besides, visitors also have to pay two kinds of parking retribution; they are in the retribution locket and in the parking lot. In the retribution locket, visitors who ride a motorbike will be drawn IDR 1,000; IDR 3,000 for a car, and IDR 5,000 for a bus. Related to the parking retribution, if a visitor ride on a motorbike, he can park his motorbike along the area of that particular beach using the parking retribution which is cost IDR 2,000; IDR 5,000 for a car, and for bus and truck will be drawn IDR 10,000.
